Privacy Policy

Overview

Timber Apparel Trading Inc. (“we”, “us”) makes private-label clothing for businesses. We collect only what we need to answer your questions, prepare quotes, run your orders and keep the records the law requires, and we keep it no longer than we have to.

Information we collect

• Contact details: your name, company and work email, and, if you give them, a phone number and website.
• Project details: what you tell us about the clothes you want made, in our quote form or by email, and any files or links you share, such as tech packs, sketches and reference photos.
• Order records: quotes, purchase orders, sample approvals, invoices, payment confirmations and shipping documents.
• Your messages: the emails you send us and our replies.
• A little about where a request comes from: the browser and the country a quote request is sent from, which help us spot spam.

How we use it

To reply to you, prepare quotes, make and ship your orders, invoice and get paid, and keep the records that tax and customs law require. We don’t send marketing email unless you ask us to, and we never sell your personal information.

Your designs

Tech packs, patterns, artwork and samples you share with us are confidential. We use them only to make your order, share them only with the factory, suppliers and inspectors working on it, and never show them to other customers. We’re happy to sign your NDA as well.

Who we share it with

Only the people who help us make and deliver your order: the partner factory and its fabric and trim suppliers (specs, quantities and labels, never your payment details), the inspectors who check your goods, freight forwarders and customs brokers (what they need to ship and clear the goods), and the services we run our business on, such as email and web hosting. Each gets only what it needs for that job. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and customs law requires. Quote requests that don’t become orders, and emails that aren’t tied to an order, are deleted after two years.

This website

This site doesn’t use analytics or advertising cookies, and it doesn’t follow you around the web. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary security cookies and keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time to keep the site safe and running.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (California, for example), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. Email hello@timberappareltrading.com and we’ll respond within the time the law allows. We won’t treat you any differently for asking.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and, if you work with us, let you know by email.
